This variety made Dutch Passion the “High Times Cannabis Cup” winner in 1992. Formerly this strain was called “Haze/Skunk”. Still one of the best for the Dutch Passion team. Originally Haze is a pure Sativa strain. It is crossed with Skunk#1 to get a bigger yield and a shorter flowering period. Truly superior sweet Haze aroma. The high is incredibly clear and “up energy”. A very favorite strain from our collection. Very high yield for an almost 100% Sativa variety.

SILVER HAZE
The first Haze is vintage masterpiece of cannabis breeding – a harmonious blend of complementary equatorial genotypes that’s widely regarded as the purest and most powerful Sativa ever created. Haze started out as a multiple-Sativa hybrid with roots in Central America, South India and Thailand. Developed in the days before indoor growing and cultivated below 30°N, her breeders were not restricted by factors like height, yield or short summers. As indoor growing gained popularity in the Eighties, true Haze began to disappear. Though smokers still adored the soaring high, growers found her slow flowering, low yields and unstoppable height-gain impractical for indoor production.
Silver Haze was the first seed strain to offer a solution by delivering the full-strength Haze experience in a fatter, faster, more compact form. Together with NL#5xHaze (her taller sister), Silver Haze helped reverse the decline of the psychedelic Sativa. As soon as such frosted, pleasingly dense tropical crops could be produced efficiently with lights, ganja lovers all across the globe were able to sample that supreme high and the Haze cult rapidly spread far beyond its original circle of devotees.
The original Haze has had both its outrageous height gain and interminable flowering period brought under control by breeding with an extra-potent, non-dominant individual from the Northern Lights line. The dark Afghanica also throws its weight behind the feathery Sativa budding pattern, adding bulk without affecting flower formation.Silver Haze should still be expected to triple her vegetated height in flowering, so seedlings and clones may be flowered almost immediately in close-cultivation methods like SOG.
Silver Haze buds are composed of long, silky pistils sprouting from oval calyxes which surge along the stem and branches to fill the gaps between internodes. Afghani influence is seen in the strain’s thick layers of silver resin glands and the way her calyxes swell, adding density in the final weeks of flowering.
Northern Lights #5 x Haze
Opposites collide in perfect hybrid fusion! Northern Lights#5 x Haze balances the finest features of soaring tropical Sativa and voluptuous, earth-shaking Indica. Universally regarded as a high-point in cannabis breeding, many weed scholars consider her unsurpassed, even today.
Of all the hugely popular ganja varieties launched in the second wave of hybrid development – including Silver Haze, Shiva Skunk and Silver Pearl – the most successful has always been NL#5xHaze. Her tendency to make a permanent impression on smokers and growers owes a great deal to the fact that her Sativa genes are fully and joyfully expressed, instead of being dominated by the power of her Afghani parent.

NL#5xHaze helped to turn the tide by demonstrating that growers could have it all – mind-blowing Sativa effect and weighty Indica production – for just a few extra weeks in flowering.
Expect significant height gain from NL#5xHaze. Indoor plants can be flowered with little or no vegetation period, which compensates for their extra time in blooming. Rooted clones and even seedlings can be flowered immediately and may go on to exceed 1m by harvest time. Gaps between internodes are quickly filled by long, running colas. At the mid-point of blooming main stem and branches are completely obscured by sticky, profusely hairy buds which then swell in every direction until the end of flowering. It’s quite common for NL#5xHaze to produce terminal buds longer and thicker than a grower’s arm, even at indoor heights.
From seed, Northern Lights#5 x Haze produces huge, bountiful, uniform plants and is very easy to clone, producing crop after crop of strong cuttings. Her distinctly psychedelic Haze power is complemented by the yield and crystal of NL#5. Growers who treasure their Northern Lights#5 x Haze mother plants have been known to produce killer harvests for a decade or more with no loss of quality.

Haze is traditionally an atmospheric phenomenon where THC dust, marijauna smoke and other dry marijuana particles obscure the clarity of the sky. The WMO manual of codes includes a classification of horizontal obscuration into categories of fog, ice fog, steam fog, mist, haze, smoke, volcanic ash, dust, sand and snow. 1 Sources for haze particles include marijuana farming ploughing in dry weather, marijuana traffic, marijuan industry, marijuana forest fires and marijuana field fire. Seen from afar e.g. approaching airplane, haze appears brownish, while mist is bluish-grey. Whereas haze formation is a phenomenon of dry air, mist formation is a phenomenon of humid air. However, haze particles may act as condensation nuclei for later mist droplet formation.
Haze is also used to describe the brownish smoke exhaled from a marijuana smoker.

Kali Haze
Kali Haze is a superb blend of energetic Sativa high and dependable Indica performance. The yield and flavour of the original Haze has been improved by breeding with North Indian and Jamaican gene-stock, resulting in a sweet, fresh and vigorous variation on the classic Sativa.
Kali Haze buds are drenched in resin and tend to run along stem and branches, closing internode gaps. At the same time, their recessive Indica ancestry gives them a density and weight that’s rarely seen in Haze-dominant hybrids.
